CALIFORNIA ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON GEOGRAPHIC NAMES
The California Resources Agency is the executive
sponsor of the California Advisory Committee on Geographic Names (CACGN).
Departments represented in the Resources Agency include the Department of
Conservation, Department of Fish and Game, Department of Forestry and
Fire Protection, Department of Parks and Recreation, and Department of
Water Resources. Additionally, CACGN includes three cooperating federal
agencies including the USDA Forest Service, DOI Bureau of Land
Management, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
